Bronze medal at the Concours Général Agricole 2015 Drawing on the floral and citrus aromas of the punchy American hop Cascade, Frogbeer have brewed up a perfectly pitched Pale Ale to compliment our genuinely good burgers. Balancing those sweet hoppy highs with gentle bittering and zingy freshness courtesy of the German Perle hop and a sweet blend of lightly roasted caramel malts, Pearl Pale Ale is as well rounded in character as our burgers are in shape!

In one of the Monoprix shops in Paris. Fairly clear yellow golden. Medium small white head, nonlasting. Mild grassy nose with slight peach note. A bit if sweetness upfront, gentle grassiness with just a touch of bitterness. Very light body. Easily drinkable but nothing special.

From tap at The Frog & Rosbif, Paris 14.07.17. Slightly hazy golden. White head. Floral and fruity aroma, with some hops and citrus. Slightly sour taste, with citrus, succade, lemon and lime marmalade and pale malt.

Bottle from the Republique Monoprix. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is fruity. Touch of malt. Med body or so. It’s not entirely dry, there’s a little spice to the thing, some malt, and mostly floral. Yet the spice and malt add a certain tang to it. Certainly bitter enough. Decent for sure.

10-12-16 // bottle from a supermarket in St. Etienne. Pale golden beer. Pretty light in taste, not Pale Ale like, more a hoppy lager. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pearl Pale Ale on 10 Dec 2016 at 21:05 - Score: 6

Bottle in Paris. The beer starts smooth with a sweetish body. Not too intense, not too floral. Smooth mild with fruity hints. No bitterness, hints of grain, easy to drink with not much depth. Dry-smooth aftertaste with hints of a citrus-fruity mildness.

Pearl Pale Ale 4.1% again a very pale gold with a citrus & butterscotch(diacetyl) nose. Slightly better than the Baba Boom but still off not the best start to tasting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
