First off, major props to the designers who really hit a home run recreating the original design from the 1970s on. Looks amazing. Pours a ruby copper hue, almost no head. A big boozy malty nose. Sweet, really tastes like old TH and I know that flavor well, oxidized malts, cherry, sweet whiskey. Damn nice.

Bottle split at CBC Islington, thanks to Tipple, 18/12/18. Hazed golden amber with a decent off white cap. Nose is toffee fudge, light spice, barrel, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises bitter sweet fruit esters, toffee, fruit cake, light vinous touch, mellow barrel. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent balance if not overly exciting ... ok sipper though.

Craft Islington Bottleshare. Hazy amber beer, small cream colour head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine carbonation. Smooth palate, semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Tangy, almost sour fruits over a smooth and slightly oxidised caramel malts. Fruity and fairly intense fruity whiskey to finish. Intense.

Bottle shared in London / huge thanks to Aditipplebeer. Pours unclear gold with a foamy khaki head. Very sweet and bready, some lemony tang, alcohol, toffee. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Hot and boozy finish, some marmalade, ripe citrus, bready mats. Decent.

Refrigerated 8.45 oz. brown bottle poured into snifter. Clear light brown with no head. Aroma is caramel, medium body, no carbonation, and no lacing. Taste is caramel, some oak, and a little whiskey.

2017, 250mL capped bottle with gold foil. Bottle # 20965. Guessing it's BB 29/12/27 stamped in bitttle neck. So ft alcoholic English malt biscuit. Lots of toffee and light tea. Alcohol barrel isn't prominent but more of an aftertaste that includes boozier finish. Low carbonated and low hopped, just as intended. I got what I expected and what I wanted. What else can you be hope for.
