Rich, smooth, warming and rounded with delicious plum fruits and subtle spice. It’s a rich malt-forward beer with a full body and charming booziness.

Pours a clear coppery color with a red undertone, topped with a solid tan colored head. Complex aroma starts with some fruity notes, there’s also som raisins present, some wintery spices and a bit of yeasty aroma. Taste follows the nose. Filling wintery taste, spices, biscuits and some brandy notes to finish with. Not a big fan of this style, but that one was just amazing.

Draught at Norseman. Cloudy chestnut with a thin head. Aroma is bubblegum yeast. Flavour is sweet malt, sugary spice on the lips, a little roast malt on a belgian fizzy finish.

Bottle from Bradley’s, Cork [291114]
Caramel brown, clear, thin off white head that dissipates to thin rim
Aroma of soft fruity caramel, soft red berries, slight raisin
Taste of caramel malts, soft spicy hop, dab of raisin, varnish, dates, slight bubble gum, bit bready, very malty
Palate - soft carb, medium body, quite sweet, fairly smooth. Finish - bit more bubble gum, getting some dry roast, slightly dry. Not sure about the finish
Overall - Above average, some interesting malts in this, but not one of their best
