Can from Honest Brew. Rich dark chocolate aroma with a hoppy kick. Dark and glossy. Frothy beige head. Heavy bitter with some creamy sweetness in the Fi ish. Liquorice. Coffee. Dark chocolate. Medium bodied. Thin but with a creamy edge. Flat carbonation. Long finish. Characterful hoppy stout. Good stuff.

Can from Bottle Baron. Black body with a thin tan head. Faint lacing. Aroma of peach, charred toast and beef stock. Flavour of Marmite, black pepper, orange pith and ash. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. An unusual Stout because of the choice of hop used. For me, this sits in the middle of a Stout and a Black IPA. I liked it.

440ml can. Pours black, medium tan head. Strong roast, pine needle, bitter dark chocolate and simcoe hop on the nose. Taste presents similar layers, good layered grainy dark malts, chocolate, coffee grain, some nice hop flourishes, drying close. Comes together very well. Excellent hoppy stout.
