Red Ale fermented with house souring culture, and barrel aged in bourbon barrels before being transferred to port and sherry casks for conditioning. Lots of barrel funk aroma and a crisp dry sour flavor.

Bottle from BrewDog Online. It pours cloudy deep red - brown with a small off - white head. The aroma is sweet - sour, juicy, packed full of sweet berries, jammy, port, Victoria sponge, vanilla, raspberry muffin, fruit compote and funk. The taste is dry, tart, vinous, jammy, strawberry, shortbread, red berry skin, raspberry, oak, funky action, light barnyard, leather and a touch of leather with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Nice balance and drinkability. Works well.

355ml bottle. Cloudy, redd-ish brown colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, beige head. Bretty, funky, fruity aroma, notes of cherry, morello, hints of plum, brett-typical Hubba Bubba bubblegum notes, vinous Sherry, Port and Marsala overtones, spicy hints of almond, nutmeg and cinnamon. Taste is tart-ish, dry oaky, fruity and slightly vinous, mildly bretty, notes of plum and morello, blue grapes, hints of Sherry and Marsala, a subtle, sweet-ish touch of powdered sugar and bubblegum. Superbly balanced, harmonious, integrated - extraordinaire!
