On tap at Monkless, pours a cloudy muddled orangey yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out the Hallertau upfront, with citrus tanginess, candi sugar and some booze. Flavour is muddled, with earthy hops, some candi sugar, light booze. There's little here resembling an authentic tripel. It's alright as a miscellaneous strong ale, but not all that great.

16oz can c/o Anndiesel. Dry-hopped Tripel. Wins me from the start for intelligent innovation. Maintains its Tripelhood while adding some pleasant hop tone. Quite a nice beer. More American Tripel than Belgian, lacks some of that finesse and effervescence. Deep malts, a touch candy sugar, and some nice dry hop tone. Really good.

Tall can from Melvins, Sisters, Oregon. Sipped at our AirBnb in Bend. Pours clear gold, good white froth. Aroma bears pleasant citrus with some light yeast. Taste is largely citrus-forward, some floral lime, with distant triple esters. The hops seem to have transformed the triple into a citrussy APA, light, sessionable with distant yeasty esters.. fine but a little confused.

16 oz can poured, picked up at Beer Mongers, PDX. Was glad I could find a couple cans of their beer, since I somehow missed out on Monkless while in Bend last month. Clean and clear, big bright golden pour, a lasting thick foam head. Aroma is both fruity and spicy, with a little floral activity as well. Flavor is much smoother than the strength would suggest. Smooth floral and apple like fruitiness throughout. A smooth and easy drinking tripel with plenty of flavor. Very nice.
