Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a near clear earthy amber with a red hue and a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has tart cherry with a good smithy of oak and a wine note underlying. Flavor has sour cherry up front with dry red wine with an oaky backbone.

4oz hand pulled pour @ The Ale Apothecary taproom, Bend. Pours a clear reddish ruby amber, soft fluffy white head. Aroma has cherry, light amber malt. Wonderfully light on the palate, very low discernible carbonation, tart cherry, lightly fruity with a strange woody earthiness. Brandy barrel influence seems very distant, though a light vinous quality lies within. Great to try a cask-conditioned beer in the states, but the format and higher temp doesn't really suit the style.
