12/7/2021. Cask at the Thornbridge Brewery Tap. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, dark fruits, vanilla, ashy nutty notes. Cask at The Magdala Tavern, Hampstead, London. A dark burgundy/brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, nutty, chocolate aroma and taste. Very smooth, easy drinking porter in great condition.

Cask at the York tap. A clear reddy mahogany brown coloured pour with a creamy light beige head. Aroma is nutty chestnut, hazelnut, light ashy. Green apple. Praline. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, hazelnut nutty, fruit and nut, light Ash, vanilla. Palate is soft, creamy, moderate carbonation.

Moderat röstiger Beginn. Malzig herb ohne wirklich intensiv zu sein, trockn, ansteigende Bitterkeit. Süffig, kurzer Abgang, der außer Röstnoten nicht viel zu bieten hat. Okay. 10/9/8/9/10/8
