0.65l bottle. This is a light cloudy deep amber colored one and it has a medium sized lingering and lasting light beige top. Mild on the nose, I only manage to squeeze out light melony yeasty sweet hints and a little bit of sweet red berries. Not bad at all, but a bit milder than I had imagined. A bit more flavor. It has a distinctive sourness all the way this. Almost what you can describe as cardboard sourness. It also feels light oily in the mouth and the carbonation level is about average here. Some fruity white not to sour white currants detected with wheat dryness and traces of sugar. Have to say that this is quite a dull beer. Nothing to bad flavor vise, but I definitely won't be hunting this one down for a second go. Not exactly what I wanted for Christmas. 08.12.2013

Flaske 0,66l fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Drukket i Skibotn 30 Nov 13. Mørk amber. OK skum som daler i løpet av ett minutt. Grei søt fruktaroma. Smaken har preg av skog. En syrlig bitterhet kommer sigende. Avslutter tørt. Harpiks. Unektelig et visst julepreg over denne.

Bottle, 65cl. It’s an unclear, dark copper to brown beer with a small, light beige head. Lightly spiced aroma with some caramel, flowers and candy. A faint roasted touch too. It’s quite sweetish and candyish in the flavor, with some spices and fruityness. Full body, semi-dry and with a decent carbonation. Caramel, some spice notes and a touch of fruityness in the finish. Pretty boring this one. 140111

65cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian - thanks! Pours pretty clear amber with a small off-white head. Somewhat malty aroma with fruity notes and hints of Belgian yeast. Rather sweet with a fairly moderate bitterness. Not very Christmassy, but wuite okay.

650ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Noisy pour revealing a frothy, off-white head to a clear chestnut coloured body. Hazy last pour. Nice lacing rings down the glass. Malt-fruity aroma and taste. It’s semi dry, a bit jam-like with brittle caramel malts, dried fruits and berries. Long-lived malt fruity ending. Well bodied. Nice (my last rating in 2013, Tromsø 31.12.2013).

Bottle at home. The colour is hazy nut brown, and has a light brown colour. Sweet aroma with dried fruit, wood, heather, berries, nuts and forest floor. The flavour has more wood, roasted malt and a touch of hops. Nice. Has a slick and rich mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. I guess the pomegranate characterize the beer and gives it a touch of forest, and it has a nice touch of hops.

Bottle, 7.5%. Sweet, fruity aroma. Cloudy, muddy red brown colour. Small off-white head. Weizenbock flavour, but more citric than fat or yeasty. Wheat with orange peel and a little rough hoppiness. Tannic bitterness, probably because of the pomegranate.
