Keg at the merchant. A clear amber red. Copper coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is semi sweet, chewy fudge, tart cherry, red fruit, cakey malts. Flavour is composed of medium sweet toffee malts, cherry, pinch of lacto acid, tart woody raspberry. Nicely layered.. Palate is semi sweet and sour. Prickly moderate carbonation. Decent.

Keg at the Merchant, Canary Wharf, 25/07/18. Light reddish brown with a decent light beige cap. Nose is tangy red berries, vinous draw, light spice, pipe tobacco, funk, oak. Taste comprises red berry skins, wood must, stale fruit slice, dried fruits, damp wood, hay bale, red berry balsams, cherry stones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced acidic rise. Decent complex enough sour red.

Keg at North Hop. It pours hazy red with a medium foamy off-white head. The aroma is vinous, tangy strawberry jam, Victoria Sponge, jam doughnut, Granny Smith apple and sour cherry. The taste is crisp, dry, good mouth - pucker, vinous, jammy fruits, tart red berry, cranberry, raspberry, light tannin, acidic kick, wood, vanilla and sponge cake with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Very well rounded and high drinkable.
