This Herefordshire lady is a refreshing blend of sweet orange and mellowing cinnamon. Serve chilled in the warmer months, Nell will happily keep her cool but come winter, this luscious 4% medium cider is just as wonderful when warmed and can be sweetened to taste if necessary.

330ml panda from LCB. Pours a mostly clear gold with no head, still. Aroma of apple peel, strong cinnamon, orange peel. Taste is the same - sweet, fruity, cinnamon provides a lovely balance. Medium bodied, slick. I'm aware this isn't showcasing the apple, although it is there, but as a tasty refreshing light Christmas spiced cider this is great.

75cl bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden and flat. Nose - sweet spice more than the apples. Taste - cinnamon, sultanas and fruit cake. Palate - light to medium bodied, sweet but dried fruit and spice helps to balance it. Overall - it grew on me. Something of a guilty pleasure.
