A light, refreshing beer inspired by the ‘Patersbier’ brews of Belgian monks – the ones they kept for themselves! The simple malt bill and continental hops allow the yeast to be the star of the show.

Pint bottle from Beer Revolution, Hay On Wye. Pours hazy gold, white head. Aroma is biscuity malts. Taste is light, biscuit malts, grain. Unfussy grainy golden ale, reminiscent of Monty’s signature style. Expected more.

On tap at the brewery, 1/5/2016. Deep, hazy gold, with a tight, white, head. Aroma of floral hops, yeasty grains and some stone fruits. Easy drinking, with a spicy edge, more sweetish fruits, light malt character and a gentle finish. Good.
