Bottle. Pours darkest brown with a huge and beautiful beige head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, oak, liquorice. Body is medium but dense, with a lively carbonation, rather sweet, only turning bitter towards the palate. There most of the roast notes finally show. Still coffee and liquorice with little green pepper. Dryish palate. Good.

BIG thanks to Tom! 330 ml. bottle. Bottle says fresh beer but no date, seriously? Aged with oak chips I think going by google translate. Very dark brown going to black, creamy small tanned head. Nose is strange artificial plastic blueberry grainy, chocolate, chocolate milk powder, cacao,… Taste is thin chocolate milk, cacao, strange chocolate milk sweet, a profile that I don’t really get no oak, candy, chocolate powder, mocha, caramel, cheap sweet chocolate milk, bit thin but I quite liked in a candy way even if I don’t really get how we got to this profile, strangely powdery, this is like some kind of thin but tasty milk stout & no oak here. Tasty but strange.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish creamy bubbly head, opaque black color, aroma of coffee, toasted bread and a charred wood hint, flavor of chocolate, charcoal and wood, light mellow bitterness. Nice and interesting, quite enjoyable.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Stas. Very dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, coffee, a bit of wood. Sweetish flavor, roasty, with chocolate, some coffee, light sourish hint, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Nice.
