Big thank you to kappldav123 for this 0,33 l bottle. A darkest red brown in the glass with a more than one finger foamy beige head. Smells low malty. Taste starts also malty, increasing toasted to toasty. Getting sweet. Some present hop in the second part. Crisp. Low carbonated. Not bad.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear brown with a neat, orange hue and a small, beige head. Really delicious nose, cocoa powder, vanilla and chocolate biscuits. Medium body, all of the above notes in the flavor also and a pleasantly balanced sweetness. Subbdued bitterness. Lovely Dunkel. 100920

Walked out to the Brauhaus from the centre of Pirna on 11th May 2017. This was the second of the four beers they had on tap that I tried. Red hue to the dark brown body, beige head. Malts all the way here, they rule both the nose and taste, lightly roasted, over toasted malts aroma and flavour wise. Semi-sweet overall and easy to drink.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours hazy coffee brown with stable beige head. Clear aroma of caramel malt, with notes of yeast and some bready touches. Sweetish flavour of malt, mcaramel and yeast, with notes of hops and some bready and metallic touches. Bitterish aftertaste with estery notes. Agreeable but not fantastic.

Bottled. Near black, creamy head. Careful coffee aroma. Mid-sweet and medium bodied. Some very slight butter is there, but overall it’s a very careful beer - almost shy. Finsihes without bitterness.

Draught at the brewpub - 4,8% ABV. The beer in the glass is dark, almost black. Roastmalty aroma, the beer starts the same. Very short dry moment in the finish, the aftertaste is vapid, almost washy. Not so good!

draught at the brewpub. Brown colour, hazy, large and creamy head. Flavours of roasted malt and caramel, slightly hoppy. The flavour is a bit thin and the beer seems a bit unripe to me. Still quite nice, especially to accompany the good and hearty Saxonian food they serve.
