Can from Beerwulf. Aroma is vanilla, oak, malt, caramel, bourbon, dried fruit, berries. Flavour is sweet and a bit boozy, body is above medium with a sticky mouthfeel. The Saison aspect seems lost and whatever remains clashes with the Buffalo Trace. Sippable but a disappointment.

Appearance: cloudy amber with a large white frothy head of decent retention. Aroma and taste: Dried apples and pears, spicy yeast, malt, grassy hop Relatively dry. Hoppy ending. Mouth feel: medium body, average carbonation. Summary: pretty pleasant.

Obviously aged sample Medium to good off-white head over veiled chestnut-copper beer. Rum, booze, bit of vanilla, fusels. Dried fruit (apricot,...) in alcohol - and seriously sweet. Slightly less sweet in the mouth, but the booze/alcohol appears again in force. Finish has a herbal bitterness, vegetal as in some bitterish tubers. Some Madeirisation already in situ. Aftertaste sports a tobacco juice-like bitter. Very full bodied. Alcoholburn and almost chewy. Nothing wrong with the beer, but seriously Kees, why persisting in calling this a "saison", as everything in this beer just is perpendicular on what a saison ought to be?

Can @ home, after a good day's work. Pours a murky brown colour with a reddish hue, and an off white head with a small layer retention. Aroma's: dried fruit, wood (oak), bourbon, something like aniseed. Retronasal follows this, though the wood seems a bit more pronounced. Flavour is above moderate sweet with some saison-ish sourness and light bitter. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Long finish with bourbon, wood and light bitterness. Interesting, I like it.

330mL can, pours a dirty dark amber / burgundy with a small beige head. Aroma is unsual, with an earthy saison yeast character and prominent smokiness. Flavour reveals a nice smokiness from the Buffalo Trace barrels, dry earthiness, and saison yeast. The booze is felt but doesn't detract too much. This works surprisingly well. It's not a refined beer -- it certainly has some harsh elements. Pleasant, unique beer.

Dark copper, tad hazy, sliver of white foam. Smel ls some grapyness, plenty bourbon, dried fruit. Dense body, light carbonation. Taste is bourbon heavy, but it does blend well with the saison. Some fruityness, bit of straw, quite smooth. Not great, but fun

Light brown and hazy. Aroma is super woody. Flavour starts woody and spicy and just at the point where it might become too much the vanilla sweetness kicks in.

Can at Maakun’s. Thanks Hui! Unclear amber with white head. Sweet and grainy, some plastic, citrus. Sweet and bitter. Over medium body and soft carbonation.
