330ml bottle, on return to Hazebrouck after the French Divide. Bought in Alsace. Pours a deep, hazed dark brown. Nice subtle roast on initial sip with a glowing sweet toffee afterburn.. going well with a merveilleux from Houcke.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a coudy, opaque black with a smallish, rough, beige head. Dusty, chocolatey aroma with a discreet roastiness. Medium body, dry chocolate and cocoa with hardly any bitterness. Clean and simple, straight and light Stout. 130225

Bottle shared at home. Almost black with big fluffy tan head. Coffee, blackberries, CO2, ash, roasted malts, dry caramel. Medium sweet and bitter, light tart. Under medium bodied with dry finish and a lot of carbonation. Decent stout, just over carbonated.
