25th June 2021 Tasting at Fergus gaff. Thanks to the team. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, fairly airy, decent fine carbonation. Soft but rich dark malts. A decent dark creamy dark chocolate. Little dark chocolate ganache. Mild Bounty Bar. Fruity bourbon on the back end with a modest spice. Tasty and rich. But lacking a bit of fairy dust but very good.

Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, roasted, chocolate, coffee, alcohol, barrel, wood, tobacco, rich, malty, heavy. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft - flat, finish feel is warming and light to moderate alcoholic. [20201120]

On tap at Brew Hub St. Louis. Pours black with a chocolate brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has notes of bourbon and dark grains supported by vanilla, chocolate and a bit of roast. Flavor has boozy bourbon and bitter dark grains with dark chocolate and roast underlying.

Bottle @ Cafe Albert. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet roasted malt, carmael, rich sweet chocolate, dark chocolate, wood, vanilla, light bourbon. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, rich dark chocolate, wood, oak, vanilla, bourbon, alcohol. Medium to full body, soft to average carbonation, sweet finish with warming alcohol. 040720

22oz bottle pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice big heavy roast malts coffee bourbon barrel vanilla booze notes. Taste is more of the nice heavy roast malts some brown sugar coffee and a bourbon barrel booze hit.
