473mL can. Pours clear pale gold with a small white head. Lots of melon, tropical fruit, and pine on the nose. Flavour has more of the same hop expression as the nose, nice level of bitterness, and a sweet biscuit malt base. Very nice.

On tap at The Barley Merchant, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out some bright piney hops, a touch of lemon peel, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is vibrant, with bright and bitter piney hops, some citrus, and crisp biscuity malt. Very piney and nicely bitter. Real crisp and authentic WCIPA on the blonde side — just now I like them. Impressive.

Can from Jak's, Granville South, Vancouver
Dark blond colour, just slightly hazy. Moderate aroma, piney and herbaceous. Good malt presence, a bit bready, toasty; the mouthfeel is fairly dry; bold bitterness, but the hop is just herbaceous and a bit resinous, not the bright character (maybe piney, zesty and a bit fruity) of the best modern IPAs. It's clean, bold, and following the modern IPA paradigm, we just wish for a brighter hop character.

Light gold, bright, with no head. Limonene dank aroma, with a fair bit of biscuity pale malt in there. There’s a moderate bitterness, lots of pale malt, grassy and weedy hops. Ok, so it’s that light and pale take on west coast IPA, like FW Greg or like Pfriem Blonde IPA. That’s the direction the style could have gone in five years ago, but didn’t. It’s too bad really.

Soft sweet hop aroma, has okay clear gold body with modest foam. Flavour is reasonably bright hops, soft chalkiness, some bitter resin. Mouthfeel has nice oiliness and is full on the tongue. It's not bad at all.

Poured from 473mL can. Clear gold with full off-white head. Pine and mild grapefruit hops with a run-of-the-mill biscuit malt. Simple, drinkable, unimpressive.

650ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves plenty of thick lacing. Mild aroma of grapefruit and pine. Sweet flavour of biscuit malt, grapefruit rind, orange, lemon and pine resin in a dry, bitter, green leafy hop finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Not bad, enjoyable.
