A very special, and very limited, entry in our venerable Yeti Series, Mexican Chocolate Yeti is a sensory delight. We’ve added a variety of spices, vanilla and coffee to Yeti Imperial Stout to create our version of a traditional champurrado drink. Spiced chocolate drinks have been part of Aztec and Mayan cuisine and culture for centuries, but they have yet to be paired with a Yeti!

19.2 oz can from Tavour, 11/4/19. Dark brown color, thick medium brown head, fairly strong lace. Aroma is full of cinnamon, dark roast coffee, and chilies. Sweetness is nicely in balance here with the cinnamon, roast, and peppers all mixing really seamlessly. Pretty damn tasty. 8/4/8/4/16

19.2 ounce can. Not sure why these are so big. Pours a pitch black hue with a large light brown head. A big chocolate sweet nose. The flavor is super sweet milky chocolate, spices, cinnamon, fairly drinkable, not cloying. Solid.

Canned September 18th 2019.

Pours a pitch black with an impressive head of tan foam. Oh wait...where did the foam go??

The chocolate nose is massive! There's coffee for sure, but there's something else in the smell that reminds me of dark pitted fruit. I suppose that I could confess it with the ample abv?

Taste is chocolate to the extreme. Coffee well represented. Taste has a milky/lactose sweetness to my palate. Alcohol is not hidden that well. Bit of a burn during the swallow.

Full bodied with medium carbonation. This is kinda hot, peppery. Nice sipper but I reckon that with the one, I'm done.

Tap at the Barrel Bar - this particular iteration is less full-bodied and more acidic than other versions - light chili and light cinnamon are the only indications of the intent here - chili comes out slightly more in the finish - it's still noticeably Yeti, but definitely an inferior version.
