Draft. Cloudy gold body with a frothy white head, lasting Aroma of brett, toasted grain, citrus, earthiness, floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Along the lines of Helios, but a richer body. Good depth of flavor though the brett is dominant. Citrus, light pepper, light grapefruit, basement.

Draught at Spuyten Duyvil, 4/16/16.
Hazy, dull bronze/brass golden body is quite pale/muted and topped by a moderate amount of white head showing modest to strong retention.
Lots of easygoing brett in the nose is immediately charming/easy to get along with. It’s lightly fruity (lime zest, strawberries, guava) and only moderately funky (light band-aids and such) and not outdone by the hops, thankfully, which are here quite spicy and yet reserved. Doesn’t feel any bit like the new breed of heavily Americanized brett beers. Malt provides dry biscuity character and there are light pepper phenols on the end, as well as more citrus and very light sour fruit-like candy notes. No alcohol or flaw.
The flavor is heavily directed by the brett, being quite tart, moderately acidic, but nowhere biting or over-dry. Good attenuation, with leafy, earthy, woodsy hops (and very minor pine accents) and some more easygoing citrus notes (lime zest, meyer lemon). Light honey-like maltiness balances easily, while the carbonation is light to moderate and engaging. Some oiliness/slickness on the end, with a bit of bread and candy-like character are the only detractors, but otherwise a very lovely belgian pale/ipa with brett.

The Sampler, Brooklyn bottle: pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is a lot of bretty funk and light fruitiness. Taste is bitter brettiness. Musky and smells like a farm. I like it. Many much. Not an IPA. Please stop calling these beers as such.

The beer is a hazy yellow with a decently sized white head. Nice topping of foam. Some lacing. The aroma is definitely farmhouse IPA. Likely brett funkiness - it’s sorta fruity with a touch of cheese. Big dusty note, some saison-ish character. The hops are light, sweet citrus with a lot of tropical delicacy in the mix. It’s big on pineapple and kiwi. Some orange, lemon, quite peppery, hay. Maybe some wheaty spice. The taste has moderate to medium bitterness. Pretty good hop flavor. It might have been juicier on tap or very fresh. Nice mango, pineapple, orange, pepepr notes knocking about. Big on peach, too. Very easy to drink. Fairly light feel with some hop oiliness and a long hoppy finish. This is a sub style that I like a lot, and this is a nice example. I don’t think it particularly stands out, but it’s well made and has a nice hop flavor that is sweet and delicate but still packs a decent punch.

On tap at EBF 2016 Slightly hazy pour. Fruity earthy spicy with a sweet bready maltiness deep underneath. Light spicy phenols mesh with some pretty solid hop aroma and flavor. Pretty good style mashup here.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lemon, peach, apricot, pineapple, orange peel, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, pine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright fruity/spicy/funky yeast, citrus/pine hops, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, peach, apricot, pineapple, orange pear, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, pine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of yeast spiciness and pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, peach, apricot, pineapple, orange pear, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, pine, hay, straw, herbal, grass, funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of bright fruity/spicy/funky yeast, citrus/pine hops, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from carbonation and bitter/spiciness as well. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately sticky, and lightly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding Belgian IPA. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of bright fruity/spicy/funky yeast, citrus/pine hops, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

22oz bottle pours a murky yellow with some creamy, white head. Nose has some lemony hop, grass, straw, light soap, light pepper. Flavor is a bit tannic with lemon tea, soap, mild grist, a little lavendar. Dry finish. Quite drinkable.
