Sigtuna Skogen är en limiterad utgåva där man låtit sig inspireras av skogen. Resultatet är två stycken öl av motsatt karaktär. ”Sigtuna Skogen Natt” är en Imperial Porter (8%) med rostad björk och blå-bär, som fått symbolisera det mörka underliggande hotet av naturen med skogsbränder som följd.

Inför lanseringen av Sigtuna Skogen har man låtit konstnären Ragnar Persson tolka respektive öl med skogen som inspirationskälla. Flaskornas etiketter är utformade efter det mytomspunna kring skogen och dess mystik.

(Bottle) Brownish black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, dark bread, blueberries and a touch of rum raisins. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, cacao, treacle, tobacco, dark bread, liquorice, rum raisins and a gentle roasty bitterness in a sweetish, warming finish. Medium body, quite sweet. Solid and well made porter. Very nice.

Where: Systembolaget.
Appearance: Black colour with a small tan head.
Aroma: Blueberries, malt, coffee, chocolate.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Chocolate, roasted malt, blueberreis, some coffee.

At SBWF 2019. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark malt, blueberries and chocolate. The same in the taste. The body was medium and the bitterness on the light side.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Black, small head. Rich aroma of tobacco, blueberries and coffee. Mid sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Dark chocolate, licorice and blueberries. Low bitterness. Interesting.
