St-Feuillien Quadruple is a very dark and dense beer. She is noticeably alcoholic. She distinguishes herself by a complex and finely caramelized aroma and with shades of Madeira wine and candied fruit and an intense touch of fermentation esters (banana type). A slight hoppy smell (English style) completes the whole. The mouth is long with a powerful body built on the density and generous apparent extract. The bitterness is present but sweet and blends harmoniously with the malty struc- ture. The selection of special malts raises the chocolate side with the nuances of coconut. The saturation is average.

0.33l bottle. Dark amber body with a thin but lasting beige head. Aroma of cocoa, figs, raisins and some orange zest. Taste of cocoa, candi sugar, raisins, cloves and some orange zest. Alcohol is well hidden. Very nice.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with a full head. Aromas of raisins, caramel, doughy malts, and vinous wood. Flavors of caramel, sweet malts and muddled dark fruit. Just enough candi sugar and Belgian yeast notes to indicate it's a Belgian. Tasty.Very good.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted dark malty, slight metallic. Sweet. Caramelish and phenolic finish.

Sample from 33 cl bottle. Deep amber colour with a thin lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, vinous notes, red berries, fruits and slight booze. Taste is sweet. Full bodied. Lasting sweet finish. Very enjoyable.

Fles 33cl thuis. Donker fruit, warm, licht boozy, bitters, redelijk zacht, licht fizzy, wat toffee, bruine suiker. Complex. Goed. (22-5-2020).

Served at home on draught from The Sub. Creamy tan head stayed on a dark brown still body. Rich malts, brown sugar & cream aroma. Medium to full bodied, smooth, creamy & greasy over the tongue with a light tickle down the throat. Malt, rich concentrated berry, dark spirits, Christmas cake & boozy tastes with a sweet milky finish. Banging!

Dark amber to brown beer, big creamy beige head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very malty, some caramel, solvent notes, chemical impression, some dried fruits, soft roast, hint of chocolate. Mix of pleasant and less pleasant compounds. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: malty start, grains, bit sweet, soft bitterness, some dried fruits, hint of caramel, lots of alcohol noticeable. Aftertaste: malty, grains, dusty, a gentle bitterness, pretty spicy, some coriander notes.
