Tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is roasty malt, creamy caramel, light chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a roasty, coffee, lactose, charcoal palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. By far the best of the three beers I had here.

Near black with a thick tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roast, licorice and overripe dark fruits with a little caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
