Dark brown with a tan head. Smell of caramel plums and mill chocolate. Initially, chocolate on the flavour followed by faint coconut and rounded out by an almond like character. Smooth and medium mouthfeel. A highly sessionable dessert like beer without all the calories.

Tap at Heart of Darkness, Singapore. Poured a clear medium brown colour with a broken off white head. The aroma is malt, nutty, woody hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a toasty, dry, ash tray, charcoal nutty hop palate and hints of sweet chocolate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Probably better than the classic English milds served in England. Highly drinkable.
