Picked up a bottle of this 10% brew to celebrate their 10th Anniversary! CBB Pyotr 1 Imperial Stout Deep coal black with tan foam and a chocolatey aroma with savory and slightly smokey notes. My first sip I felt was a touch too acrid (heavy on the dark crystal malts). After warming a bit more, I got cocoa paste and roast smokey notes but sweetly balanced.

Tap at Japan Brewers Cup 2020. Pitch black, shiny, brown thick head. Creamy chocolate nose, woody, coffee, plums. Fruity, rich, lots of umami in the flavor, seeming a bit old style that way, some soy, chocolate, coffee. Very nice.
