This top-fermented beer specialty belongs to the "Pale Ale" family and is characterized by a balanced composition. The copper-like color and a fine, pearly, cream-white foam crown underline the aromatic, powerful first impression. The complexity and intensity can be clearly seen when you smell it for the first time. A unique duet of malt aromatic and tropical fruit aromas of grapefuit, citrus and mango aromas. A pronounced full-bodied taste with a slight sweetness and a dominant, lingering bitterness. Brewed with Citra and Strata hops.

Bottle. Clear amber with a decent white head. Aroma of caramel, some citrus fruits and herbs. Taste of caramel, malts, lemons and herbs. Slightly sweet. Moderate herbal bitterness. Medium carbonation. Balanced and süffig. I am very pleased and this is probably the best beer Detmolder has brewed so far.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Mellow malty and citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of lemon tea, lemon ice tea, peach flavoured ice tea, some mandarine, orange, grapefruit. Taste is citrusy fruity and minimally earthy, leafy and floral hoppy, minimally diluted notes of lemon tea, lemon ice tea, a touch of black tea, whiffs of bergamot, orange, orange blossom, grapefruit, mellow malty basis, a minimally cheesy touch as well; lingering, bitter, minimally chalky finish. Minimally oily, watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Enjoyable to see some more advanced brews in the Detmolder range over the last few years - not topnotch but pretty decent.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before October 2021. Hazy, deep reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, malty, gently fruity-resiny aroma of caramel, red fruits, tangerine and light pine. Moderately sweet, gently bitter, quite fruity-resiny taste of caramel, tobacco, pine, red fruits and light tangerine, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly resiny finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nicely aromatic, very well-balanced Amber Ale, goes down easily despite its richness. Nice!
