Gouden Carolus Indulgence [Indulgence, something that is done or enjoyed as a special pleasure] is a limited series of beers brewed every year with varying content. These ‘Indulgence’ brews are exclusive delights to be savoured at special moments or shared with special people.
Botanik is the 3rd taste expression released under this label. A special blond beer was brewed using barley and wheat for this purpose. A selection of 4 natural botanicals was added during the ageing process: elderflower, angelica root, cloves and rosemary. A pleasantly surprising bouquet!

hazy golden to orange colour, huge, though quickly collapsing white head; aroma of basil, green herbs and vegetables, some lemongrass and yeasty-earthy notes; taste has the same notes, but the grainy-malty backbone (and some dried apricot, maybe) can also be felt; not a typical Belgian Strong ale, but still quite enjoyable

Fles gedeelt door Roelzie1986, geprobeerd met Inoven en Benzai. Het is een troebel geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een fruitige en kruidige geur. De smaak is vol en kruidig met duidelijke kruidnagel in de afdronk.
