Gouden Carolus Indulgence [Indulgence, something that is done or enjoyed as a special pleasure] is a limited series of beers brewed every year with varying content. These ‘Indulgence’ brews are exclusive delights to be savoured at special moments or shared with special people.
Botanik is the 3rd taste expression released under this label. A special blond beer was brewed using barley and wheat for this purpose. A selection of 4 natural botanicals was added during the ageing process: elderflower, angelica root, cloves and rosemary. A pleasantly surprising bouquet!

Bottle 750ml. @ Scooper Tasting. [ As Het Anker Gouden Carolus Indulgence 2017 - Botanik ].Clear medium yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, spicy, wheat, moderate yeasty, fruity yeast, rosmary, herbs, elderflowers, coriander, clove, floral. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, herbs, wheat, spicy, sweet malt, sweet yeast, fruity yeast, floral, rosmary, elderflowers, clove. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20180915] 6-3-6-3-12

Flaska från SB. Disig gyllengul vätska med högt vitt skum. Mycket örtig och kryddig doft med drag av tvål och parfym. Smak av färska örter i en salig blandning. Anis, fänkål, dill, nejlikor, muskot bara för att nämna några. Grundölet är en pigg trippelliknande sak med krispig munkänsla och fin friskhet över en stabil kropp som gifter sig riktigt bra med örterna. Mycket gott.

750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Shared with Holmen1. ABV is 8.5%. Brewed with elderflower, angelica root, cloves and rosemary. Hazy yellow colour, huge white head. Distinct aroma of said spices / herbs, esp. angelica root, also spicy yeast. Spicy and herbal flavour on a sweetish background. Minimal bitterness.
