Gouden Carolus Indulgence [Indulgence, something that is done or enjoyed as a special pleasure] is a limited series of beers brewed every year with varying content. These ‘Indulgence’ brews are exclusive delights to be savoured at special moments or shared with special people.
Botanik is the 3rd taste expression released under this label. A special blond beer was brewed using barley and wheat for this purpose. A selection of 4 natural botanicals was added during the ageing process: elderflower, angelica root, cloves and rosemary. A pleasantly surprising bouquet!

0,75 flaske fra polets nettbutikk, delt med seremonimester Melberg etter brygging av vår Santa's India Saffron Brown Ale sep-18: uklar korngylden med højt belgisk skum som varer. Floral aroma og smak med delikate krydderier i forgrunnen over en solid, lett søtlig maltbase. Kvann, hyll, nellik og rosmarin skal være de fire "botanicals" som er benyttet iflg etiketten. Godt er det uansett - en deilig balanse mellom krydderurter og blomster. Lang, lett urteaktig avslutning. 2 IBU? Nesten ikke humle, hvis noe i det hele tatt. Interessant og meget velsmakende på samme tid.

A murky and light yellow beer, a head is big, long-lasting and blond. Aroma is fresh, flowers, fruitnessof peryy and apple, even some perfume, also sothing else interesting notes, maybe rosemary. Taste has flowers, not so strongly as in the aroma, that interesting note in the aroma was a rosemary, it has also in the taste, some fruitness and generic spicyness. Medium bodied, sparkling carbonation. Strongly flowery, but it's not too much, that's called the balance.

Nie jestem Botanikiem, czy ekologiem i nie pracuje w nadlesnictwie, ale powiem jedno to pio jest boskie. Piekny wyglad, huk przy odkorkowaniu niczym armaty na Westerplatte, dymek jak przy smarzonym schabowym na patelni bez tluszczu. Zlocista i blyszczaca barwa niczym zloty krazek olimpijski, pod koniec rozlewu do sclodzonego kieliszka Lupulusa metno-piaskowe. Aromat kwiatow maciejki i czosnku niedzwiedziego, smakowo jak miod z kwiatow pomaranczy, physalis i jakby bazylia zmiksowana z rukola. Swietny smak i aromaty, wiedzialem ze wysoko ocenie to botaniczne piwo bo uwielbiam te zielone ziolowe klimaty i tyle.
