There is dissonance in how the past resonates with us. At times we insist on letting it go. Other times we cling nostalgically to comforting idylls that never existed. Only sometimes are we able to see the past holistically as History, whose lessons serve a better future. Regardless, it is our shared inheritance an begs an important question. Should we forfeit, abuse, or treasure it? The collective answer thus far has merely been 'yes'.
Pattinson Porter was brewed with friend and beer historian Ron Pattinson. Its inspiration lies in the hearty porters that were present in East Germany during the early to mid 20th century. Heavily toasty, highly hopped, and brettanomyces refermented - these beers stood out in both their time and ours. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and 100% bottle conditioned.

Full glass @ Heet Zuur Hop Festival - Frontaal. Black, small mocha head. Massively heavy on red wine, no roast amazingly, lactic, almost idea of cacao but far more red wine with thicker but not heavy body, dark berries. Very different from expected almost like a less lactic Oud Bruin Foeder beer of sorts not hugely complex, malt eaten out interesting but phenomenal in wine, lactic & low fruit profile, tremendously enjoyed it.
