Back, lasting tan head. Nose of brown sugar, woody notes. Sweet brown sugar start, vague wood. Whiskey notes, very light roast. Very late medium lasting bitterness

Pours dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is subtle, but I mainly find it barky with a bit of whiskey. Flavour quite malty with a bit of whiskey character.

Draft pour enjoyed at Strange Fellows. Dark copper pour, sticky lacing, fading head. Smooth and rich porter. Chocolate noted. Can't quite identify the barrel here. Sweet finish. Slight nutty note. Pretty good, but want more barrel!

Poured from the tap. Near black with small beige head. Gentle roast, some wood, hint of perfume. No specific bourbon notes, but the wood character does come through. Decent.

Has good blackish brown body and some nice creamy beige foam, smells of soft sweet dark caramel like those old school Molson macro porters. Flavour is nice sweet barley, smooth and easy, totally reminiscent of a macro porter, aftertaste much the same . If they wanted to achieve that old school porter vibe, they did it in spades here.

Dark brown. Soft and a nice molasses accent. Brown sugar. Dessert. Tannic. Gets too sweet as it warms, though. More of a not my taste score here, because there's nothing wrong with it, I like don't want to drink it.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is full of wood, gentle bourbon, and subdued roast. Flavour is prominent on the barrels, with plenty of bourbon, wood, and a bit of perfume. The roast is subdued, with the barrels and perfume taking over. It's pleasant, but I'm not convinced the barrels are used overly well.

Draught at the brewery
Black colour, compact beige head. Dark chocolate, rather dry but with a good mouthfeel, good vanilla complement from the barrel, the roast gets a bit stronger in the finish.
Very good.

Jet brown with a nice light brown head. Cocoa, chocolate and light roast. Touch of barrel, cocoa and light roast with a nice finish. Not bad.
