Bottle @11.5% ABV. Scant beige coat on a murky dark brown beer. Aroma is doughy and spicy with chocolate, hints of cherries, dried fruit. So it tastes - a bit boozy and ramshackle, but tasty with bready and yeasty notes with a bit of dried fruit giving way to decisive spiced bitterness. Some vinous undercurrents. I don't mind rough edges.

Bottle picked up from Mr Hop Vernray Netherlands and consumed at home after a dirty homemade Chinese Curry, Thursday 20th November 2025 after listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music Round Table and the sad news that Mani from the Stone Roses has passed away today. Pours dirty dark brown with a large off white head, slight tart edge, is this oak aged? Very soft mouthfeel, tangy with some molasses, better than expected after initial taste, not amazing but fine.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, yeasty notes, dried fruits, raisins, some chocolate, alcohol, stewed pear. Flavour is sweet with some sharp warming alcohol. Body is above medium. Okay, but lacks refinement.

Bottle, 11.5%. Soy aroma with notes of fart and brown sugar. Very dark brown colour, seems hazy. Frothy, unstable light brown head. The flavour is quite roasted with a peppery and bitter alcohol presence. Soy finish. Not an elegant beer.
