Polish Rockmill in collaboration with Ukrainian Didko, a hefty peated imperial stout, thanks Steve for sharing! Pale greyish beige, open, mousy ring for a head on a hazy dark chocolate brown beer, approaching black. Aroma of hard caramel, beef stock cubes, dry peat, biltong, whisky, bitter chocolate, smoked bacon, bonfire ashes, cigars, gin, brown bread. Sweet onset, candied dates and figs, surrounded by strong beef stock-like umami, softish carb; full, soft, oily body, deep walnutty, toasty and bitter-chocolatey maltiness, thick and layered, with roasted bitterness in the end that turns a bit ashy and ‘dusted’ with dry, smoky peat, spicy and warming, with a whisky-like alcohol glow in the end. Very solid Rockmill quality standard, recommended if this is your sort of beer.

Slowly building-up cream head, faster gone. Practically black brown beer. Super peated, tarry, phenolic nose. Intense but beautiful, beery equivalent of Coal Ila . Peated, but rather sweet taste. Bit nutty, phenolic-smoked, chocolate. Very full odied, chewy and viscous; serious alcoholheat. Wow! Really outstanding smoked beer.

Barwa niemal czarna, piana ciemnobeżowa, obfita, dość trwała. W aromacie asfalt, wypalona trawa, spalone kable, smoła. W smaku dosyć słodkie, pełne, sporo wędzonki torfowej, lekko w typie ogniskowej też, do tego czekolada, kawa, paloność. Goryczka do średniej, wysycenie niskie do średniego, dużo ciała, piwo jest gładkie, ułożone, nie czuć alkoholu. Bardzo dobre.
