330ml bottle from Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a murky dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, boozy, peaty. The flavour is over moderate liquorice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, liquorice, dry, oaky, big warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation.

Poured from 330mL bottle (bb 24/11/29). Dark brown with small beige head. Mild rye and whiskey, a touch of dried fruits, decent. Nice nose, but taste doesn't follow through.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small tan head -- thin body for the ABV. Aroma is boozy, fruity and barrel-heavy, with lots of whiskey barrels, spicy rye, dark fruits, and booze. Flavour is fruity and boozy, with lots of spicy rye, whiskey barrels, some sugars, booze, and dark fruits. The body is quite thin for a >13% stout. The balance is alright -- boozy and a bit harsh, lacking the complexity and depth. It's good, but a bit lacking.

330ml bottle kindly shared by Synny. Rating session with lmojoh, Synny, and Finn. Off-white head, clingy lacing, and near-black in the glass. Malt-fruity aromas, inviting with chocolate and dried fruits, lightly smoked. Well blended taste of black chocolate and dried fruits supported by a backdrop of bourbon. Roasted, smooth ending with warmth from the alcohol. Full bodied. Decent sipper qualities to this one. Tasty. (Tromsø 12.10.2023).

Sort med beige topp. Aroma; Ristet malt, Lakris, toffee, kaffe, whisky. Smak; Whisky, mørke kaffebønner, Lakris, mørk kokesjokolade, smak av lagring på tønne. God lang ettersmak som varer.

On tap at BrewDog Tower Hill. Black beer lasting tan head. dark chocolate thick heavy dark chocolate sponge cake aroma. yes it's a little hot on the finish. but the rest is pretty good. sweetish. some chocolate cake. it settles down a little. I quite like the chocolate and malty flavours. Still some burn on the finish. burn not harsh. ok
