Kind of ’luxe pils’ launched in 2010, first under the name Gouden Carnaval Bierke. Snow white head, bright golden yellowish colour. Aroma more complex than usual for a bottom fermenter, with melon, grains, cooked potato, sour cream, grassy hops. Sweetish taste, corn-like (or should I say carrots?), bit bready but otherwise rather thin, quite watery finish with low hop bitterness. Unusual lager, that may very well appeal to average Belgian taste. I’d prefer their Slaghmuylder Kerstbier above this, however.

12/III/2012 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: n/a 2012 vintage (2012-230) Thanks to Jonathan for getting me this bottle!
Clear yellow to light golden beer, nice solid creamy white head. You can hear the head 'crackling'. Aroma: dry, hay, little grassy some paint, smells like a pilsener. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: some grains, quite some citrus, little chemical after that. Aftertaste: some rubber, herbal bitterness, grassy, crisp finish. I'd love to see this on tap in every bar as the "regular pils/lager".
