15/VIII/2012 33cl @ Internationaal Streekbierenfestival (Zwevegem) - BB: n/a (2012-943) Thanks to Erwin for sharing all the beers together!
Little cloudy mud brown beer, aery irregular beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: caramel, dried fruits, some overripe fruits, hint of citrus, raisins. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: dried fruits, raisins, bit of port, some chocolate, caramel. Aftertaste: caramel, some raisins, port, some honey, little bitter.
Note: despite the website from Flanders Events states that their mission is to introduce people to new beers from smaller breweries (etc.), they at first refused to tell me where the beer was made. "Oh, just some small brewery, I'm sure you've never heard of it before." It was only after incisting for a long time, that they told me it was from "Dubocq", and then looking at the case, they corrected: "oh no, it's from De Cock". Great job, guys.
