One-off by this 'bierfirma' (still falsely posing as a brewery apparently) in Sint-Pauwels near Sint-Niklaas, made for the Liefkenshoekfort in Antwerp with gunpowder according to the label - no idea what that tastes like... Older bottle shared by tderoeck, thanks! Thick and snow white, membrane-lacing, frothy head, misty amberish-tinged orangey peach blonde robe. Aroma of tomato concentrate and chicken soup (clear signs of oxidation), cooked apple, orange peel, soggy cookies, banana peel, touch peanut, tea, honey. Fruity onset, banana, peach and pear impressions, fizzy carbonation, slick caramelly and dry cookie-like malt body with a very thin nutty edge but quite some residual, honeyish sweetness on top as well; clear oxidation near the end, 'rusty' and tomato sauce-like, while a brief hint of bitter orange peel shows up - hops on the other hand are all but gone, but probably weren't that prominent to begin with. Acceptable, if stereotypical sweet tripel, bland and boring, but not technically flawed - and in spite of the clear oxidation, still relatively enjoyable for what it is. As for the gunpowder: no idea what they meant, it's probably just symbolic...

11/IX/15 - 33cl bottle @ Klaas' place - BB: n/a (no print at all, nothing on the cap) (2015-1170) Thanks to Erwin for the bottle!

Clear orange beer, big creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: typical VSB yeast profile, floral, bit sweet, fruity touch, some banana, not bad. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, bit of banana, bit sugary, floral, some honey, bit oxidized. Aftertaste: little spicy, very yeasty, lots of banana, yeast, slightly bitter, fruity touch. Where's my "buskruit"? Lol :p
