Clouded deep yellow to orange with a nill head. Pale malt, apples & pears, straw, grass, a hint of funk. Dry. Light to medium hop bitterness. Below expectations.

Fles 33cl thuis. Fruitig, citrus, matig droog, hoppig, witte druif, zoeten, bittertje, fris, bloemig, licht tintelend. (23-12-2021).

Hazy blond colour, white foam. Nose of citrus, sweet malts, some spices. A bit herbal and floral, citrussy, light tart, a bit unbalanced. Not the best saison.

0.33l bottle. Slightly hazy golden body with a thin white head. Aroma and taste of chamomille, cloves, grass, bit of elderflower and some pepper. Spicy, fruity and refreshing. Nice one.

A brown-orange beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma has fruitness, riped, citrus, some spicyness. Taste has fruitness of citrus, Quite light bodied. Too light and shy.

Bottle. Slightly unclear golden body with a white head. Quite typical Saison aroma with fruity esters and yeast. Taste is mild and refreshing fruity with style typical peppery yeast and esters. Medium body and aftertaste in the same direction. A well-made, easy drinkable, quite refreshing, straight forward Sasion. Highly enjoyable without being mind blowing.

KØLF 100120. Golden-orange color with a white head. Aroma is yeast, oranges, berries. Flavor is yeast, oranges, berries, dried fruits. Very easy drinkable beer.

L'abbaye des rocs nous propose ici une saison qui aurait mérité d'être plus typé. Nous sommes en effet ici davantage en présence d'un croisement entre une saison et une blanche, ce qui lui fait perdre de la vivacité. On reste néanmoins sur une bière de très bonne facture, avec la pâte Abbaye des rocs. Visuellement nous sommes sur un blond doré paré d'un léger voile avec une mousse nappant à peine la surface. Le nez est très intéressant, frais et vif sur le miel, la banane, le citron, le zest d'orange, la coriandre et floral. On retrouve cette fraîcheur a l'attaque, avec une bonne complexité, une légère acidité doublée d'une base plus douce conférant un bon contraste. Un petit poivre vient s'adjoindre aux arômes. La deuxième bouche déçoit alors quelque peu. Plus douce, on perd en vivacité même.si les arômes restent plaisants. L’arrière-bouche, légèrement astringente donne un côté terroir intéressant, même si celui-ci aurait pu être plus poussé. Le final, moyennement long, manque d'allant. L’alcool à 5,4 % est peut-être un tantinet faiblard. L’amertume, à 42 d’IBU est très bien quant à elle. On attend un peu plus de cette brasserie tout même avec une saison qui reste en dedans.

28 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, 77ships & tderoeck! Clear pale golden, lasting, thin, foamy, white head. Aroma of ripe banana & apple, honey, white bread, yeast, apricot, coriander. Taste is light fruity sweet, notes of banana & apricot next to bitter grass, spices & pepper, vague honey, quite bready & yeasty with a metallic touch, which remains into the dry finish where some more grassy hops pop up. Medium body, slick-watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Disappointing overall.
