New England style IPA from an American craft brewery I hadn’t yet heard of before, can at De Kantien, thanks to the Gentse Biervereniging for sharing. Snow white, open, mousy ring of a head on a milky yolk-yellow beer with vague greenish tinge. Aroma of lime and even lemon flesh, pineapple, green bell peppers, yoghurt, yellow curry powder, dough. Sweetish onset, pineapple effect with a sourish lime- and kiwi-like edge, soft carb; dry in its nature, with a powdery mouthfeel but nevertheless bread-pulpy and doughy malt body, soaked in a lot of tropical, citrusy and somewhat dank hoppiness, remaining powdery as well as juicy but soft in bitterness. Ticks all the boxes for NEIPA and even if this is not my preferred style, admittedly this is a very successful example of it.

22/II/19 - 1Pt. can @ Kantien (Gent), BB: n/a, canned: n/a - (2019-260) Thanks to the GBV-crew for sharing the beer!
Pretty cloudy pale beige beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of dank hops, sweaty feet, citrus, some onions, bit cheesy, fruity touch. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweetish start, dank, bit cheesy, tropical fruits, mango. Aftertaste: bitter, bit sweet, tropical fruits, peaches, grapefruit, mango, yoghurt, some lactose?

(473ml can from Beergium) Pours very murky brownish-orange with an average white head. Notes convey fairly light flavours overall, some citrus peel and leafyness, vague ripe fruity notes, a little sweet malt, some slightly rubbery or synthetic hop character, powdery/chalky yeast, the sweetness dies down in the finish and there's some lightly to moderately bitter multivitamin into the finish. Light body, rather soft carbonation. Maybe the can's not in the best shape but this felt a little mild and limp, lacking bright hop character.
