16 ounce can. Cloudy yellow gold pour. Firm, fluffy white head. Dank citrus and piney hop nose. Bittersweet citrus hops upfront. Notes of grapefruit and rotten orange. Bitter and unapologetic, just the way I like my DDH IIPA's

Can. Very hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry and with decent fine carbonation. Light malts bring light creamy sweetness. Smooth dry orangery hop. A little mango and mild hop spice. Modest pine and a trace of tangerine. Light finish. Not the shoutiest of IPAs but it seduces. Good hop flavours and it's very drinkable.

Double IPA by Evil Twin, can at Struise shop in Bruges, shared with my girlfriend. Lacing, thickly moussy, snow white head, hazy warm orangey-golden blonde robe. Intense, lovely, bit dank but very lively and fruity aroma of mandarin peel, red onions frying in olive oil, pink grapefruit flesh, raw pineapple, dried mango, garlic, dill, withering cut-flowers, dough, old lime juice, gin, dust. Sweet onset, a wave of mandarin, mango, lychee, yellow Zespri kiwi and overripe pineapple, with a lime-like sourish hint; medium to softish carbo, doughy and mellow malt 'underground', long aromatic hop finish, very fragrant retronasally, with a grapefruity, pineapple- and mango- as well as mildly oniony character, bittering but nowhere harshly so and followed by an afterglow of pleasantly warming, gin-like alcohol. Excellent, NEIPA-inspired example of double IPA, strongly recommended.
