Hazy blond with thin head. Aroma and flavour have some sweet tropical fruit hop notes. Easy to drink

After a preliminary unspecified session ale (SA12), Brouwbar has created different session IPAs, each time to the same basic recipe but differently hopped; this is the latest one, with Citra, Simcoe and Chinook. Egg-white, thick and dense, mousy, stable, irregularly edged head, hazy apricot blonde robe with warmer pale orangey tinge. Aroma of fresh mandarin peel, lemon butter, lychee, orange blossom, lime juice, grapefruit peel, minerals, white bread slices. Very cleanly fruity, straightforward onset, hints of green banana and some red apple, touch orange, fizzy and very minerally carbonation, slick and smooth mouthfeel, feeling fuller than it it actually (physically) is. Smooth cereally malt body, aromatically hoppy finish, bit citric and very lightly powdery, with a refreshing zestiness and light tropical lychee aspects to it, as well as something grassy; actual hop bitterness, however, remains very soft, actually a bit too soft for me, especially considering the used hop varieties which are old favorites. Very delicate and very refreshing, this will doubtlessly serve its purpose on Brouwbar's outside premises during the summery days to come, but I personally prefer the previous one (SI25) for being a bit less restrained in its hop character, especially in terms of sheer bitterness which could have lended even more body to the finish.

Clear orange beer, small creamy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of tropical fruits, mango, bit dank, citrus notes. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: quite some citrus, nice bitterness, dank hops, some onions, bit of grapefruit. Aftertaste: nice and hoppy, bit grassy, little watery, lots of citrus, somewhat sugary, refreshing bitterness, lovely stuff!
