Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Baltic Porter

Aiyyo, who slam harder? Onyx, or Vince Carter?
When it comes to comparing these people, any argument loses its meaning. They are real "tough guys" - hard guys with a strong character, power and strength of spirit. They don't admit criticism and they're against censorship. They don't care what they think. They do not tell beautiful stories. Their path is as aggressive as life in the ghetto.

In our new beer we have combined the impenetrable darkness of the Baltic coast with the fortress of the guys from Queens. Slam Harder is a confident Baltic porter, additionally aged 9 months in bourbon barrels brought from the USA. In addition to the rich flavor of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee, dry warming tones have been added, leading to a noble American drink. And 10.5% will be like Vince Carter's signature slam-dunk sung by the revolutionaries of hardcore rap.

Slam Harder's label is the result of collaboration with a graffiti artist and graphic illustrator Roman Peeks, a member of MOW/WORD crews. In his work, he experimented with acrylic paint, silkscreen printing, embroidery and digital illustration, bringing to the familiar forms, silhouettes and letter constructions of his own new readings

Kut wax dips. Gewond door die kut gimmick. Kan wel janken. Prima bier, flink zoet, boozy, roosterig. Maar opflikkeren met die wax.

Bottle shared by Joen. Opaque jet black color, rich dark brown head. Straight 10 for appearance. Aroma is malts, roasted malts and a sweet note that's hard to pinpoint. Flavor is malts, sweetish maltiness, liquor, slight vanilla, light ash. Medium body, smooth texture, average carbonation. Alright.

500ml bottle. Jet black colour with average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing tan head. Roasty, chocolately dark malty and slightly alcoholic aroma, BA hints of Bourbon, caramel, vanilla, some coffee, white coffee, some liquorice. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel and roasty, dark malty, hints of caramel, Bourbon, coffee, white coffee, some liquorice, a touch of vanilla, maybe plum as well; additional alcoholic, minimally warming aspects in the finish. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, minimally coarse carbonation. Good but with a handful of minimal, well, not really flaws, but improvable trivia, concerning balance, harmony, integration, carbonation and coping with alcohol. Cellaring would cut off some rough edges and do no harm here, I guess.
