Bottle at home. Murky brownish with sediment. Grainy, boozy, candied sugar, moscatel, woody. Complex flavours, slow sipper.

Plum and raisin liquor on the nose. Oily and sweet, red wine, caramel maltiness, some barrel. Not too boozy, surprisingly smooth for the abv. Very nice.

Bottle. Brown color. Dried fruit in the liquorish aroma. Malty sweet, dried red fruit and plums, floral, perfumed notes. Alcohol. The dried fruit is nice, but this is a bit too much,.

5th November 2019 The beer is called ‘Lot 1000’. After a shitty day, need a bracing beer, cue Guinea’s whacking great barleywine at 17.2% An almost clear deep amber - brown beer, a bubbly pale tan head fucks off very quickly. The palate just has a mild viscousity, other than it’s pretty feckin light for its abv and it has decent fine carbonation too boot. Dark and slightly bitter toffee underpins fruity armangac, Touch of madeira and a trace of Port Wine. De Bortoli pudding wine in there. Finishes smooth with a light tingling alcohol spice. Hits the spot for a quick beer and boost fix
