O: 6.938 V: 4.321 G: 8.046 B: 4.5 O: 16.955 T: 40.76

Served on tap at the brewpub in a narrow glass, nice white creamy head, clear gold body. Soft lager or blonde ale aroma. Flavour is soft citrus notes with minimal hops. Not big but subtle and drinkable on this sunday afternoon.

Draft glass @ Gollem. Darker than expected orange with HUGE creamy white head. Nose is corn sugar, candy, sweet cereal & lager vegetable. Taste is basic doughy overly corn, cereal & lager vegetable, sweet too vegetable, corn cereal, rather thick candy, lager vegetable lager. Taste like a bit more mainstream thicker, touch sweeter less flawed mainstream lager of sorts, not a fan. This is not how I remember Kölsch tasting like in Cologne, I liked almost everything there more than this one I think, maybe it is just a location / experience thing. This one scores stupidly high on here.

Bottle from La Fringale du Monde. Clear pale gold with a linger one finger white head leaving tight lace. Nose is grain, light lemon, some grass, light spice and light floral presence. Light sweet cereal malt with a light+ grassy bitterness and a hint of lemon tartness. Mouth is medium with nice carbonation and a crisp finish. More character than I was expecting. 7/3+/7+/4/15

330mL bottle, pours a clear straw yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out plenty of straw and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is loaded with cereal malt, crisp crackery malt, some straw and even a touch of hoppiness. For a kolsch, this is as full and complex as it gets. Excellent example of the style.
