Concord Grape: Solera series of mixed culture golden sours fermented in a large oak foeder. A portion of finished beer is drawn into a secondary vessel and replaced with unfermented wort, activating fermentation from existing microbes to produce a nearly identical copy of the original beer. In this version, beer was drawn into a fruiting vessel to age on local concord grapes before bottle conditioning with champagne yeast. Please keep cool, pour carefully and expect some sediment.

ABV: 8.5%. Clear medium to dark red colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, berries, red berries, grapes - cherry, light band-aid. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sweet berries, cherry - grapes, wheat, red berries, fruity yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20211023]

Tap @MBCC 2021, Green Session. Clear red, small offwhite head. Funky, sourish aroma, light glue and wood. Glue, white glue, sour fruit flavour, hand lotion and some kind of solvent.

MBCC. Clear deep red with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, red berries, light sugary and wood. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. 231021

Bottle shared with Josh and Greg at HOMES. Pours a deep purple with a finger of pinkish foam that lingers. Lovely Welch's concord grape juice nose with some oak and light vanilla creaminess underneath. Nicely tart, but not overly acidic. Spritzy carbonation, but not overly so. More creamy oak with deep grape popsicle flavors and aromas. Lingering oak, wood, concord and musty notes. Very good.
