Our first foray into the world of Foeder Lagerbier! Essentially a stripped-down version of a Vienna Lager, this was brewed with Vienna and Pilsner then hopped with Tettnang. Conditioned for 6 weeks in the Foeder and an additional 2 weeks in stainless. We’re incredibly excited with how this beer turned out and even more excited to see where this journey into Foeder Lagerbier takes us.

Aromas are Amber malt, toffee and dry grain. Flavors are similar to nose, meaning sweet but with enough bitter and carbonation to balance. Not much roast for a Vienna. Okay buddy and slightly sweet finish. Drinkable but nothing special at all.

On tap at Trail's End. Pours a clear, dark golden color, with a medium, beige head. The nose is straw, caramel, light spruce, and lavender. Sweet and grainy, with a mellow, resinous bitterness. Lighter, sharp, and clean. Solid lager.

Pours clear, yellowblonde. Small white head. Smell is grainy, intense, clean lager aroma profile. Taste is fairly full, relatively creamy. Mild corn like aroma ( NOT DMS to me, more like, perhaps, they added corn ? ) decent lager.

10 ounce at the brewery - lightly hazy gold - clean, bready, lightly sweet lager, with mild bitterness and light oakiness adding depth - aging in the foeder creates a fullness and softness in the mouth that's quite nice - interesting.
