Bottle looks simple but okay. Beer in the glass dark brown, almost black, small head. Malty aroma with quite a load of caramel. Starts milder than exspected, malty, dry, light coffee notes. A bit earthy. Smokey background. Finish dry-malty, light alcoholic. Okay.

Bottle, 0.33l. Murky ruby brown color with small, frothy, totally dimishing light brown head, body residue and sparkling appearance. Aroma of dried fruits, caramel and toasted malt, alcohol and herbal hops. Taste starts sweet malty and fruity, follows by burnt sugar, caramel and mild roasted malt, mouthfeel is alcoholic, warming and spicy, while finish is moderate bitter. Full body, oily texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. This one makes me more sleepy than horny :)

330ml bottle. Dark mahagony colour with small to average, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, ochre-ish tan head. Sweetish dark malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of herb liqueur, some chocolate in the background. Taste is malty, herbal with a moderately bitter finish, that also delivers cautious hints of alcohol; oily texture, soft palate. Not outstanding but nicely balanced.

Bottle from Erzbierschof, Bern
Red mahogany color with small head. It’s a solid caramelly brew, medium sweet, with just a light spicy and grassy touch; can pick some fruitiness too; ordinary bitterness; warming alcohol feeling.
I feared the weird ingredient, but it turned out pretty good.

Die süße Malzigkeit habe ich intensiver erwartet, wenig getreidig. Dann süßer werdend, Schokoladennoten. Dabei etwas hefig, die Intensität könnte insgesamt aber stärker sein. OK. 9/10/10/10/8/10

Organic beer - interesting. Dark brown in the glass, malty herbal nose. The beer starts malty, liquorice, thick. The mainpart is a bit roasted, malty. Dark. A bit sweet. The aftertaste is long, slightly bitter, dark malt, caramel, a bit herbs. --> Nice beer! --> 12/10/11/12
