Brick red with a light tan head. Near tart cherry, light fruit sweetness, an interesting spice in the finish. Earth notes are prevalent but also overwhelmed with fruit. A very interesting and enjoyable ale. My first sahti but hopefully not my last. (2016 edition)

Sampled at the Ballard Farmerโs Market. Pours a clear deep amber with a tan head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a good amount of juniper with light fruits and a touch of flora. Flavor combines juniper and light fruits well with light grains backing.

Bottle poured and split. Finally tracked down this style, which has eluded me for years now. Waxed and corked bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with a thin fizz head. Heavy floral aroma with soft berry. Probably one of the most unique beers Iโve tried. Interesting. Fun tick.
