Black with a dark head. Nutty, earth, malt, coffee, a bit chalky. Finish has light sweet malt, cocoa, and hot booze. Very hot for 8%. Solid but could use a little massaging.

22 oz bottle poured. Great opportunity to try some fun new beers and enjoy a nice wedding at the same time. Neat black pour with a halo tan foam head. This was the most interesting beer of theirs that I was able to try. One thing they have going for them, is that they take a traditional style, and make it unique. This one was no exception. A strong, almond nutty character in the aroma. Flavor is a sweet, minty, nutty chocolate constant. Rich milk chocolate. Very creamy, and leads to a transitioning finish of cinnamon like spice and a nutty malt. Super fun stout here. Enjoyed this one a ton.
