Bomber. Pours a pitch black hue with a medium dark brown head. A big licorice and roast nose. A smooth flavor, some heavy roast, sweet licorice and vanilla, a bit of astringent metallic notes which I like. Some citrus in the finish. Very nice.

Bomber from Costco for like $5. Black. Thick. Roasted malt, molasses, dark chocolate, light coffee, burnt malt, bittersweet, some light dirty earth. Extremely well balanced. Not overly complex yet quite enjoyable. An approachable, flavorful, well-crafted imperial stout.

Bottle from Brewers Haven Nothing out of the ordinary here. Inky black pour, small ring of beige head. Roadt grsin aroma, minor hints of chocolate, kind of sweet. Taste follows with he toady grains forward, but not adding to much to the overall. Light for a RIS.
